Ireland’s Secret UAP Files
Ireland's X-Files: Government UAP Records

Ireland's modern UAP story is slowly emerging from official files. Freedom of Information disclosures from the Department of the Taoiseach, the Irish Aviation Authority, and An Garda Síochána reveal that sightings have been quietly logged, circulated, and sometimes investigated for decades. In 1981, then Minister for Transport Albert Reynolds confirmed in a Dáil reply that eight UAP reports had been received since 1962, some examined by Gardaí, others by the Air Corps, the Meteorological Office, or Air Traffic Control. More recent FOI releases show that this pattern of discreet reporting and internal correspondence has continued into the twenty‑first century, offering a rare glimpse into how the Irish state has tracked unexplained aerial phenomena over time
